IMBISA meeting on Synodality and Priestly Formation kicks off in Windhoek

The IMBISA meeting on Synodality and Priestly Formation officially kicked off in Windhoek today, bringing together seminary rectors or their representatives, seminarians, and representatives of young people from IMBISA member conferences.

The two-and-a-half-day workshop is being held under the theme “Synodality and priestly formation: impacting relations in tomorrow’s parish.” The meeting seeks to reflect on how synodality and priestly formation can shape relationships and foster more participatory and collaborative parish communities in the future.

The workshop is being facilitated by Fr. José Pinto Tene from Mozambique and Fr. Mxolisi Ndakana from South Africa, who are guiding participants through discussions and reflections on the theme.

Also attending the meeting is Ms. Anne Christine Kabui from Kenya, a representative of Porticus, which is funding the meeting.

The meeting provides an opportunity for participants from across the IMBISA region to share experiences, engage in dialogue, and explore ways of strengthening priestly formation in response to the evolving needs of the Church and its young people.
