Manifesto Condemning the Recent Murders in Gauteng, South Africa

IMBISA publicly expresses its deepest condemnation of the brutal murders of 10 defenseless women, which took place in various locations within the Ekurhuleni municipality, Gauteng province, South Africa. These are heinous crimes that violate the most fundamental right of all: the right to life.
We cannot tolerate gender-based violence continuing to claim lives and destroy families. Every act of violence against a woman is an assault on society as a whole and on the values of equality and human dignity. These are not isolated incidents; they are the result of a culture of violence that must be urgently combated and eradicated.
This statement of condemnation serves as a manifesto expressing our deepest outrage, vehement condemnation, and absolute rejection of the brutal and cowardly murders of defenseless women, while reaffirming our commitment to justice, victim protection, and an uncompromising fight against gender-based violence.
We demand that the competent authorities conduct a swift, rigorous investigation and ensure exemplary punishment for the perpetrators, in full accordance with the law. We reaffirm our commitment to the struggle for effective public policies regarding prevention, victim protection, and the fight against femicide.
At the same time, we call upon the entire community to stand up, speak out, and not turn a blind eye to any sign of abuse. Women have the right to live without fear, in safety, and with dignity.
We offer our full solidarity to the bereaved families. Your pain is our pain. We will not rest until justice is served.
