His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed Fr. Patrick Ngwenya as Bishop of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe
With hearts overflowing with joy, IMBISA jubilantly received the news of the appointment of Father Patrick Ngwenya as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe.
We thank the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, for sending a continuator of the Apostles’ mission to this Diocese, after almost three years of vacancy. We gratefully acknowledge the work carried out by his predecessor and, until then, Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Raymond Mupandasekwa.
On behalf of the clergy, religious and all the faithful of the IMBISA region, we express our warm welcome to the IMBISA family. We are ready to walk together, strengthening the bonds of communion with the Regional and Universal Church.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide him with wisdom, strength and serenity in this new mission in the Diocese of Chinhoyi.
