It is with a heavy heart that we received the sad news of the sudden death of Bishop Angel Floro the Bishop Emeritus of Gokwe Diocese in Zimbabwe on Tuesday 14 March 2023. Bishop Floro was born on the 24th of February 1940 and was ordained a priest on 28 June 1965 in the congregation of Instituto Espanol de San Francisco Javier para Misiones Extranjeras in Spain. On 19 February 2000 he was consecrated the bishop of Gokwe Diocese until 2017 when he retired as the local ordinary of Gokwe Diocese. We continue to pray that Bishop Floro’s soul may rest in the peace of God whom he served faithfully as a priest and shepherd.
