The Catholic Diocese of Masvingo was recently in a jovial mood celebrating the first profession of four Holy Cross Sisters, Mektilda Chinofunga, Sheron Tazvigwira, Tracy Zinhambwa, and Valeria Zindoga. It was a day of joy for the entire Church, families, friends, relatives, priests, and religious. The profession that was held on 8 October 2022 drew together people from different parishes within the Diocese of Masvingo and the neighboring diocese of Gweru.

A solemn Mass was celebrated at Ss Peter and Paul Bondolfi Mission by Very Rev. Fr. Samson Mutsvanga, who preached on the need to understand the meaning of the cross in every situation of life. He said the cross reveals the greatness of God’s love.  He also encouraged the Sisters to remember the words of Fr. Theodosius the founder of the Congregation of the Holy Cross Sisters who always said; “I need sisters who understand the cross.”
