In a significant step for the Church in IMBISA region, Honourable Vice President Constantino Chiwenga of Zimbabwe today, the 29th of August 2024 met with the IMBISA Secretariat team to discuss the registration of IMBISA in Zimbabwe. This registration is important as it will formalize the Church’s presence, allowing better collaboration with local and regional authorities to carry out programs promoting social justice and community development.
During the meeting, Honourable Vice President Chiwenga extended a warm welcome to the IMBISA delegation. His cordial and receptive demeanour underscored the government’s openness to engaging with ecclesiastical bodies and recognizing their valuable contributions to society.
Looking forward, registering IMBISA in Zimbabwe is expected to strengthen the Church’s role in the country and the IMBISA region, leading to partnerships and initiatives with a positive impact. The shared optimism from the meeting reflects a commitment to enhancing the Church’s contribution to society and community well-being.
